Through 70 original compositions and five CDs, Marta Gómez brings to the international musical stage her personal fusion of Latin folk, jazz and pop rhythms and the stories and poetry of love, life, war and loss, and the daily struggles of people of Latin America. Her musical gifts as a child growing up in Bogotá, Colombia led her to pursue musical training at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, from which Marta launched her musical career with the distinction as the Best Achievement Scholarship in 2002. Drawing on melodies and rhythms from the Andes to the Caribbean, Marta’s music is described as translating across borders and languages with a universal appeal.
