Collecting Goods
IMPORTANT: We understand and appreciate people’s interest in donating items for the children of our program, but before you start collecting items or sending collected items to our Maine office, please contact us first.
In the past, we have relied on support teams and volunteers to help us transport the donated goods to Guatemala by bringing an extra checked bag with them when they flew to Guatemala. Now, because most airlines are charging for extra checked bags and sometimes even for one checked bag, we are being severly limited on the amount of goods we can transport to the program.
We have limited storeage space at the Maine office, and until we can arrange another econimcal way to ship the donated items we have on hand to Guatemala, we would ask that you do not send items to our US office without first contacting us.
