Between languages and latitudes, between extreme poverty and extraordinary achievement, there is Safe Passage — serving the community surrounding the largest garbage dump in Central America.

Safe Passage is a Pre-K through 9th grade full-day school with a holistic approach that expands the definition of education. We provide half-day educational support for high school students, tutoring, adult education and educational enrichment. In addition, we provide nutrition, social services, and career guidance.  

We mitigate underlying factors that contribute to poor educational outcomes by bringing hope, education, and opportunity to the children and families through a combination of innovative and evidence-based curriculum, health, and nutritional services.
