We are preparing for the building of our new middle school, the Innovative Learning Center, which will allow us to serve our students through 9th grade. While we have met our “bricks and mortar” fundraising goal and plan to break ground in the coming months, we are still working on bringing the building to life in the form of supporting the people and programs within it. This is the culmination of a long-time vision to serve our students through a critical point in their lives. If we can transition our students seamlessly from primary into middle school, our students are more likely to stay engaged and complete 9th grade. This will enable them to go on to find work outside the dump community, enter secondary school or university, or intern at an organization and truly break the cycle of poverty.
