Through quality education and comprehensive wellness services, Safe Passage offers a transformative experience for our students within a loving and supportive environment. Our educational community co-creates learning experiences that support students in developing the character, knowledge, and skills to reach their maximum potential. This cultivates positive and lasting change for themselves, for their families and community, and for Guatemala.
Vision:
Our vision is to catalyze a positive, transformative, and lasting impact by educating and inspiring youth leaders to build an equitable, strong, and just society.
Seeing is believing. Tour our program in Guatemala City and see firsthand who we are and what we do.
Safe Passage offers bilingual tours during the week.
Each tour lasts approximately 3 hours (plus travel time). Tours visit our Preschool, Elementary and Middle Schools, as well as our Educational Reinforcement Center.
Our community is one of extreme poverty. Visitors may see difficult scenes of violence, addiction, and animal neglect. We recommend that visitors be at least 15 years of age; children under age 15 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Throughout the tour, trained Safe Passage staff provide historical and cultural information relevant to our community, our programs, and our mission. We encourage you to ask questions.
