Mission:

Through quality education and comprehensive wellness services, Safe Passage offers a transformative experience for our students within a loving and supportive environment.   Our educational community co-creates learning experiences that support students in developing the character, knowledge, and skills to reach their maximum potential. This cultivates positive and lasting change for themselves, for their families and community, and for Guatemala.

Vision:

Our vision is to catalyze a positive, transformative, and lasting impact by educating and inspiring youth leaders to build an equitable, strong, and just society.

We are pleased to share the exciting news that Jessie Dill Jakobs has been selected as the new Director of Development for Safe Passage.

Jessie stepped into the role of Interim Director of Development in January, 2022 after serving as our Major Gifts & Grants Research Specialist when she joined Safe Passage in September of 2021.

With over twenty years of experience in the nonprofit sector, specifically in development and fundraising, Jessie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Safe Passage and has already hit the ground running.

Previously holding positions within community-based organizations, a social science research center, and a public institution for higher education, Jessie’s background uniquely qualifies her for this position.

Her wealth of experience includes acting as a bilingual social worker in Boston, working with vulnerable populations of Latina women at a research-based program and residential facility, and holding previous roles as Director of Development and Director of Annual Giving with educational institutions.

Please help us in welcoming Jessie to her new position within our team! You can reach her via email at jessie@safepassage.org.
